Why Stage?

Why Stage?

A great first impression is the most important part of real estate, and staging is the perfect way to showcase your home to potential buyers. Buyers make an immediate decision emotionally about whether or not they feel that they can move into your house. A cluttered house can often signal disorder, just like an empty house can make it seem cold and uninviting. Your belongings and personal style are perfect for you, but may not appeal to potential buyers.

Upstage-Marin can help you from beginning to end in your real estate process with our skillful team to make your home as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Statistics have proven that staged homes not only sell faster, but for much higher amounts than non-staged homes.

At Upstage we also ensure that your house is staged so that it can be photographed in the best way possible. Potential buyers will often view your house on a realtor’s website before they make a decision about whether or not to come see it in real life. Have a look at our Gallery to see how your home could look.

Let Upstage-Marin help you make your house standout from the rest by accenting its true beauty. Our number one goal is to help you sell your home as quickly as possible for as much as possible. Call us today for a free consultation!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much will you charge to stage my house?

Our price is dependent on the size of your house and whether we can utilize your existing furniture or whether we need to completely refurnish your home. Every home is different and requires different solutions, which is why it is best to call us for a consultation. Every estimate is complimentary and you are under absolutely no obligation to carry out any work.

Why do I need a professional home stager?

Your house as it is probably shouts you. Letting our professional team redesign your home with contemporary furniture, art and accessories will neutralize your home so that buyers can see its potential as their home as opposed to just seeing your home.

How long will it take for you to stage my home?

It is largely dependent on the size of your home and whether it is a full or partial staging, but the physical process typically takes one to two days.

How has online real estate viewing made staging more important?

When potential buyers are shopping for a home, they will usually look online first and if they like what they see they will go and see the house. If the images online of your house are not inviting they will be less likely to come and view the property. This is where we can help you as we stage your home so that it will look inviting both online and for open homes.

We have already moved out, do you do full staging?

Yes, we do full staging. We have a full range of contemporary furniture, artwork and up to date accessories to make any empty house look like a home. By letting us stage your home we can create an inviting setting to attract potential buyers.

Our backyard is a mess, do you do exterior staging as well?

Once on site we are happy to give you a consultation and refer some of the best landscaping artists in Marin. We also provide outdoor living sets to make your backyard a great place to relax and entertain guests.

Do I have to move out once you have staged the home?

You do not have to move out of your home once it is staged. If you want to live in your house until the point of sale we will often try and utilize most of your existing items and then add or replace items as needed to accent your home for a more contemporary feeling. Before we stage your home we will go through the house with you and advise what should be removed prior to the house being shown for open house.

I only want staging advice, is that something you offer?

Yes, we do staging consultations on-site. This typically takes a couple of hours, during which we will go room by room and advise how best to decorate each area. We will also provide you with a full report of the survey.
